Orquesta NW presents the first concert of its 2024 Latino Chamber Music Festival. Musicians from around the PNW and guests perform chamber music works with an emphasis of Latinx and Latin American composers of many styles for a variety of media. The eclectic nature of these concerts allows for the enjoyment of works from the canonical Western repertoire, works by the giants of Latin American music composition, works by living composers, as well as popular and traditional music. Concerts feature several ensembles and are about 90 minutes, without intermission.

Orquesta NW is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission to enhance community life by providing inclusive Latinx arts and culture programs, projects, and events, without charge, that create a sense of belonging, build intercultural understanding, foster equity and civic engagement, and strengthen the voice of the Latinx community in the Seattle area.

This award-winning Latin/World Music ensemble performs traditional and original music. Deeply rooted in the cultural traditions of Latin America, these musicians are master performers of traditional instruments such as the Venezuelan and Mexican harp, Venezuelan cuatro, maracas, bombo and jarana.
